Kenny Phillips applies for NFL U

In a move that will likely continue UM's long running streak of years with a 1st-round pick in the NFL Draft, safety Kenny Phillips has decided to leave school early. No surprise there. Kenny came in as a consensus 5-star All-World high school football player and displayed his skills early on with a clutch INT in OT vs Clemson during his freshman year.

His career was unspectacular but solid. Kenny always kept himself at the top of the tackling leaders on the team and showed himself to be one of the true Canes out there this year. While I wish him the best wherever his NFL path may lead him, I wouldn't be surprised if he were one of our selections in this upcoming draft, especially if we manage to trade down.
