Recruiting Updates and My Final Predictions

Word is that Tommy Streeter has announced to South Carolina, per MNW's head coach. Nothing official on that yet though.

Brandon Harris is all but a Canes lock, from what I hear.

As I mentioned before, Corey Liuget will not be choosing the Canes on Wednesday.

Martavious Odoms is coming to the U. The 4 star receiver won't be playing next season, though. Instead the speedster will be on the track team for a year so that his scholarship will count towards next season's 25 schollie limit.

Kendal Thompkins did take his visit to Nebraska, which makes his situation a bit iffy. However, people close to him say that it would be a shock if he didn't end up a Hurricane.

Jamie Harper is set to commit noonish on ESPN on NSD. Harris commits an hour after him, also on ESPN.

As for my final predictions on this class....

    1. Brandon Harris- Miami
    2. TJ Bryant-FSU
    3. Jamie Harper-FSU. Bobby always manages to pull a fast one on everyone.
    4. Ben Jones-Miami
    5. Tommy Streeter-South Carolina
    6. Laron Byrd-Miami
    7. Nick Perry-Michigan
    8. Gavin Hardin-Miami
    9. Herman Davidson-Miami
    10. Ramon Buchanon-Miami. Part of me thinks he was pushed into switching to UF.
    11. Brandon Moore-Michigan
If we get the guys I listed, there's a solid chance this class might end up the consensus #1. It would definitely earn that distinction on ESPN. With a little bit of luck, we might end up with more than what I have projected. Regardless, Miami will definitely have a Top 5 recruiting class coming off a disastrous 5-7 season. So whatever happens on Wednesday, you have to give it to Randy Shannon for doing an excellent job.

I'll tell you that Jones, Byrd, and Davidson are absolutely Canes, and Harris is close. The others are just my gut feeling. But don't discount the possibility that Harper comes here (or Clemson) and Nick Perry is a very big Randy Shannon fan. We'll just have to wait and see.
