Miami has bounced back from a disappointing close to the UF series by topping Lehigh and winning the first game of the Boston College series. Last night they finished off BC 10-7 with 4 home runs in the 7th inning.
The 6th ranked Canes were led by sophomore starter Eric Erickson, who improved to 3-0. It's comforting to know that this team has both the bats and the arms to do well this season. They have several solid pitchers on the roster, particularly on the bullpen.
Of note was catcher Jason Hagerty's big night from the plate. Jason went 3-4 with 2 huge home runs that helped the Canes jump out to a 10-2 lead in the 7th inning.
Miami will continue the series tonight at Mark Light at 7pm. Senior Enrique Garcia will look to bounce back after a tough outing last week against UF.
