I've been to my share of 'Canes games, some of the greatest 'Canes games (Wide Right III, Wide Left) I've bled Orange and Green since I became a fan in 1983 (I was 11 at the time) and it is a sad day seeing the OB torn apart. Don't get me wrong, the place was a dump, but it was OUR dump and it was a beautiful dump. When that place got rocking, it was electric. Orange Bowl, you will be missed. GO CANES!!!!

Call me a centimental fool,
But having to see this is just so sad to me.
I can't believe the city never did enough to fix the OB and keep it the historic landmark that it is, was and could of been....It took years to get anything fixed up....but as soon as they got the go ahead to make a new stadium, the wheels started to roll, and it looks like she will be all gone in just a few months. Shame on you (whoever you are) Shame on ALL those who had any part in her demise.
I saw my first football game there, I acted as an extra in "Black Sunday", saw UM play,
I saw Bruce Springsteen and Madonna there as well as many other great memories.
To see these pictures is just terrible.
It's like seeing a friend die.
Thank you MIAMI ORANGE BOWL, There will never be another like you.

I saw my only Super Bowl, so far, at The Orange Bowl.

Pittsburgh beat Dallas in Super Bowl X and my favorite player, Lynn Swann, was the MVP.

Without question, this is still one of the greatest Super Bowls ever played.

I had a great time in Miami too.

The one thing that I was amazed by, which I suppose comes from being 15 years old, was seeing people urinating in the restroom sinks during the game.

Ever since the dolphins left that stadium its been bad luck ever since for them. That was the curse fo the Dolphins when they left the Orange Bowl. Ugly stadium, but it was the best, she'll me missed.

I've been to a few games at this ancient yet memorable relic. 'Canes games, Dolphin Games all memories you can not erase from history and ones' mind. Yet reading about this and seeing the actual pictures bring a flood of memories both good and bad and it's depressing that a historic landmark like the Orange Bowl could not be kept. History has been written and rewritten in that glorious place. Yet the bleak aroma of the restrooms and the having to see people relieve themselves in the sinks sometimes does make it a sight you NEVER want to see again because of the lack of amenities to handle the capacity, still does not make for erasing this structure.
*bows head and hums UM fight song*
