Here's a good read on the Miami Hurricanes football program from Sunday Morning QB. It's a bit long, but it's in depth and covers all the bases as to why Miami has failed of late.
Overall it's a good piece, but I would disagree that mediocrity is the trend at the U. The late 90s are obviously a pass, so it's tough to say that the recent struggles are part of the norm. That's all Coker's fault. We'll eventually pull out of this hole.
It doesn't look good for next season, but things should turn around by mid 2009. Expect to be contending for an ACC title by then. Anything more would be icing on the cake seeing as how we've had two of the most embarrassing seasons by major programs in recent history.
