I forgot to mention this in the earlier recruiting post, but it seems redshirt freshman DT/OL Chris Perry has moved/is moving back to Texas and won't be coming back to the University of Miami.
Perry was a 4*-ish kid we signed last season, but didn't play this year due to a severe knee injury he suffered in his senior year of high school. There were mixed reviews about his potential, but regardless it hurts to lose a body on either line. He could have been a good one. Good luck to him.
If there is any positive, it means we have an extra scholarship. I'm not entirely sure that we can add another kid this year because of the 25-per-year limit (add 4 for early enrollees), but next season we can have another guy for sure. Then again, he was recruited last season so I suppose it opens up another spot this year.
