Another game, another loss. Dwyane Wade and Jason Williams (yes, Jason Williams) combined for 57 points, but no other player scored in double figures as the Miami Heat lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 98-92.
Again, the Heat disappeared for stretches at a time, and again, they made a furious comeback. However, down 3 with 12 seconds left, Udonis Haslem missed his jumper and the game was over from there. Tough loss for the Heat, who usually do well at Milwaukee.
Wade had a great game but failed to hold on to the ball consistently. His 5 turnovers were again way too much for someone who plays at such an elite level. Yes he scored 34 and added 9 rebounds and 5 assists, but when you turn the ball over 20% more than the next worst player in the entire NBA, then there should be some concern.
Jason had a surprisingly good game; maybe it's the bald head. Sadly, he and Dwyane got no help from anyone on the offensive end. Continuing the recent trend, nobody at all contributed on defense.
Daequan continues to have confidence in his shot, even if it's not going down. His struggles tonight aren't worrisome, because more often than not he provides a decent scoring punch off the bench. At least Luke Jackson didn't get many minutes.
Tonight's loss comes in the wake of the reports circling about that Pat Riley is considering stepping down as coach of the Miami Heat at the end of the season. Check out my thoughts about that here.
