More PJ and other Canes Notes

Came across this article, that basically confirms that Patrick Johnson is a scumbag. I don't care if he is only 18 years old, the guy played a bunch of schools for fools. Most of all, he lied to us. Now we know why Randy stopped calling him: PJ was long gone to LSU. All the while, Johnson was going on TV and the radio pronouncing his love for Miami and how he was recruiting other guys to go there.

Aside from that, there are a few things here and there to mention. Liuget is picking his destination a week before Signing Day. I have a feeling it'll be Miami. Jamie Harper, the 5 star RB is visiting right before NSD, but I don't like our chances there. He is a package deal with lesser known Daniel Andrews, who just committed to Clemson.

There was some word that 3 of the MNW kids are waiting for an online class' grade to come in before they can enroll. However, worst case scenario is that they wait till summer, so no biggie there. Joe Wylie might also have some problems getting in.

One guy we have started to target just recently is 4 star OL Zebrie Sanders. I know nothing about the kid except that he was about to choose between UF and UGA, but his world got turned upside down after he had decided to commit to Florida and they told him there was no space for him anymore. It's unlikely, but it would be an interesting pickup if possible. We only have a handful of scholarships left anyway.

As for CB Aaron Hester, who is currently committed to UCLA, he and 6 other guys are visiting UM this weekend. He has been quoted as saying Miami had a fair chance, but I doubt he will leave now that Dewayne Walker is staying at Yookla.

Speaking of Walker, we still don't have a new defensive coordinator after firing Tim Walton. Lots of names have been thrown out there. Charlie Strong was rumored to be the frontrunner and now rumored to have shot it down. Who knows. Ron English of Michigan was a potential guy. Walker was too. Mike Stoops might come back to Coral Gables to fill the position. It's really unsure right now.

Finally, WR Coach Marquis Mosely was fired as well.
